Changing Beacon Selection

Set the display to the standard mode.

Press the SETUP key until BEAC OPT is displayed above the F3 key.

Press F3.
4 Select either Auto range, Auto Power, or Manual mode using the F keys. If
Manual mode is selected enter in one or two beacon frequencies that are within
range. Use the left/right arrow keys to select the channel and the up/down
arrows to increment the frequency.
5 Press the ENTER key.
Providing Speed on the Display or to the Yield Monitor

1 Set the display to the standard mode

Press the SETUP key until NMEA MSG is displayed above the F1 key.

Press F1.

Press F2 to turn on the VTG message.
5 Press ENTER.
Choosing Speed or Elevation

4 SPD is displayed instead of ELV.

To return ELV to the display, press F1 or follow the procedure above.
Choosing Beacon Location or Frequency

Standard Mode:
The first screen that appears when the GPS 2000 is first turned on. This is the base
mode that most of the features and functions of the GPS 2000 are accessed from.
Changing Field Names and Data Types

Set the display to the standard mode

Press the SETUP key until EDIT FLD is above F2.

Press F2.
4 Use the directional arrow keys to select a field #.
5 Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys to move the cursor to FIELD NAME:.

Use the directional arrow keys to enter the desired name.

Using the directional arrow keys position the cursor by DATA TYPE:.
8 Press the UP/DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the available data types.
9 Press ENTER when done.
Note: Data type names can not be edited on the GPS 2000 screen, only selected. To
edit these selections the GPS 2000 Utilities program must be used.
Making Spot Marks
From the standard mode
STEP ACTION
1
Set the display to the standard mode.
2 Use the UP and Down arrow keys to select the desired set of marks located
above the F keys.
3 Press the F key below the mark name to be marked.
4 The screen will switch to mark mode, log the desired mark for one interval,
and then turn logging off.
5 Press the RUN key to return to the standard mode.
From MARK mode

Set the display to the standard mode.

Press the MARK key.
3 Use the directional arrow keys to select the field number/name that data will be
logged in.
4 Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys to move the cursor over to INT, and set the
logging interval between 1-20 seconds.
5 Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys to move the cursor over to the first mark
name above F1.
6 Using the UP/DOWN arrow keys, scroll through the sets of marks until the
desired set is displayed.
7 Press the F key below the mark name to be marked, logging will start for one
interval then turn off. An asterisk will be displayed to the right of the mark
that is being marked.
