2. When the chip was changed, one or more of the new chips’ legs was

bent.

Solution: Remove the chip and straighten the legs, if possible, and re-

install the chip. You must then restore memory from backup. Press the

MEM key until “RESTORE MEM FROM BACKUP?” appears on the

display, then press the YES key.

3. A memory card has been left in the monitor with the monitor shut off and

it has drained the monitor batteries.

Solution: Try to restore memory from the backup memory. Press the

MEM key until “RESTORE MEM FROM BACKUP?” appears on the

display, then press the YES key. If strange field and load numbers and

strange characters still appear on the display, call Ag Leader Technology

and send the monitor in for repair.

4. A flash memory card was inserted into the memory card slot.

Solution: The memory can become corrupt when a flash card is inserted

in the monitor. You must either restore memory from backup memory,

or if you have not recently copied memory to the backup, you can

restore memory from a card if you have been using a GPS receiver and

logging data to a memory card.

To restore memory from backup memory, press the MEM key until

“RESTORE MEM FROM BACKUP?” appears on the display, then

press the YES key.

To restore memory from a card, press the MEM key until “RESTORE

MEM FROM CARD?” appears on the display, then press the YES key.

Monitor Has no

Display

The monitor beeps when it starts but has no display.

1. The cable that connects to the display inside the monitor is disconnected

or damaged.

Solution: Remove the top nine screws that secure the front panel, then

open the panel. Make sure the ribbon cable with the blue connector is

securely mated to the back of the display on the inside of the front panel.

Check the display cable for cuts or other damage. If the cable is

damaged, call Ag Leader Technology and send the monitor in for repair.
