Troubleshooting
Yield Monitor 2000
Ag Leader Technology
June 1997
6-26
3. The cable used to connect the GPS receiver to the monitor is incorrect.
Solution: If a cable designed for the Yield Monitor 2000 was not
provided with your GPS receiver cable, obtain a GPS null modem cable
from Ag Leader Technology. Do not use a null modem cable from a
local store because it may be wired incorrectly and could damage the
monitor or reset the memory in the GPS receiver.
The GPS null modem cable switches pins two and three, sends pin five
straight through, and disconnects all other pins. It also changes the
connector gender
High Yield
Reading After
Stopping
The monitor displays a high yield reading when you have stopped the
combine with the separator engaged.
1. The C1 value (calibration number that eliminates false grain flow from
vibration) must be adjusted.
Solution: Refer to the Vibration document in the Calibration section.
Monitor Chirps
While Harvesting
1. The monitor is set on a partial swath (cut swath less than head swath).
Solution: Press the SWATH or # ROWS key and use the top UP
ARROW key to adjust the cut swath up to the head swath.
Card Too Small to
Log
The message “CARD TOO SMALL TO LOG!” appears after erasing and
formatting a .5, 1, 2 or 4 Meg card.
1. The card either has a bad battery or it has damaged memory.
Solution: If the monitor says the card has a good battery (the monitor
will tell you the status of the battery after you have erased and formatted
a card), the card has damaged memory and should not be used.
If the monitor says the card has a bad battery, replace the battery. If the
battery is rechargeable, put the card in the monitor with the monitor
turned on and let the card charge (you should be able to use the card
after 10 to 30 minutes of charging).
