Troubleshooting
Yield Monitor 2000
Ag Leader Technology
June 1997
6-12
7. The flighting of the combine grain tank fill auger was not completely cut
down to the shaft (erratic moisture sensor signal).
Solution: Remove the flighting (only where the moisture sensor installs)
of the fill auger all the way down to the shaft.
Average and
Instantaneous
Yield Do Not
Agree
1. The acre calibration is not set to 100%.
Solution: The instantaneous yield does not account for the acre
calibration number and thus can give a different yield from the average
yield if the AC CAL number is much different from 100%. Press the
AREA key (must have a load displayed) until “AC CAL=xxx.x” appears
on the display. In most cases, set the acre calibration number to 100 or
close to 100. Use the bottom-right UP or DOWN ARROW key to
change the acre calibration number.
Incorrect Grain
Weight (lbs)
1. You have not calibrated for this grain type.
Solution: Follow the grain weight calibration instructions in the
Calibration section of the manual.
2. You have entered an incorrect actual weight.
Solution: Press the GRAIN key until “CAL LBS NOW?” appears on the
display. Press the YES key. Check the maximum error and average error
(maximum error above 15% is very high). Press any key to scroll
through each calibration load and its calibration error and write down
each load and its error. Scroll through each calibration load you wrote
down and press the weight key to ensure you have entered the actual
weight in the correct load and ensure the actual weight is correct.
Remove the actual weights from any loads (using the bottom-left DOWN
ARROW key to set the actual weight to 0) for which you know the
actual weight is incorrect or the calibration error is 15% or higher (press
the WEIGHT key to display the calibration error).
After you have adjusted the actual weights, calibrate the monitor again
by pressing the YES key when “CAL LBS NOW?” appears on the
display. Press YES when “CONTINUE WITH LBS CAL?” appears on
the display (if you don’t have at least four actual weights, you can not do
a full calibration). Your final average error should be 1% to 3% and your
final maximum error should be 2% to 5%.
Your actual weight could be incorrect because you forgot to change
loads after you took the grain to be weighed and you added more grain
to the load. Do not enter actual weights on loads that have an obviously
